“God, pick up the pieces. Put me back together again. You are my praise!”
Jeremiah 17:14, The Message
I love the study of Jeremiah’s life. He bares his heart openly and his prayers are raw. He is real before God. And, by example, invites me to do the same. In Scripture, we can read of the events that led to Jeremiah feeling broken as though he was in pieces. It is a heart-breaking story. Yet, I smile when I consider that he sought God’s caring hands to position, put, and/or glue him back together, and he trusts God to do it. Again, an invitation for me to do likewise.
How about you?
