Big Picture View

As I look back through pictures of our life, I am filled with memories of fun, laughter, and joy. There is an abundance of good to be remembered. In our marriage, John and I have had some truly wonderful years. Yet, there are some hard moments in our past. There are some heartbreaking moments in our past. Wonderful years does not mean “trial free”.

As I type this, I am considering all the things on the calendar ahead. Trips in the waiting, dreams that we’re still discussing, and life moments that are somewhere in front of us. There are many wonderful moments planned.

In marriage, it’s necessary to look back and stay focused forward. Seeing the big picture is a skillset.
