Recently, I posted on the giving and receiving of compliments in Great Marriage. Like many subjects in marital relationship, there is a flip side. A caution flag. An applicable side note.
If you think about it, it makes sense. When discussing the wonderful, vibrant, and sensual glue that holds marriages together, it’s normal to see (and wise to be aware of) where the glue does not belong or how easily it would corrupt relationships if applied elsewhere.
Giving and Receiving Compliments falls into this category.
Compliments in your Great Marriage are good, healthy and necessary. Read the post, Wear A Mitt, for more guidance. Compliments outside your marriage can also be good, healthy, and necessary; however, they need to be considered and protected with boundaries.
