Do not lie.

It’s that simple.

Lying will lead to an erosion of trust in your marriage. Lying destroys the relationship far beyond the scope one imagines.  It will undo the best of moments and it will seep into areas of your marriage that you did not expect or anticipate.  Lying leads to a surplus of other problems. Avoid lying. Be a trustworthy, truth–telling spouse.
