“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life.” Philippians 2: 14-16a
Do everything without complaining or arguing. Everything? Does God mean everything? Does he mean when you’re taking out the trash, paying bills or folding laundry? Is he referring to times when you’re cutting grass, disciplining children, or changing dirty diapers? Does the truth of this verse apply to times of distress, heartache, or loss? How about times when one spouse has dropped the ball, blown the budget, or pushed marital needs aside?
