“Marriage, ultimately, is the practice of becoming passionate friends.”

—Harville Hendrix

I read this quote by Hendrix and was instantly taken. Taken by the frank truth and effected by the idea of being passionate friends in marriage.

In Great Marriage, there is a great friendship.

John and I began as friends. While we didn’t keep that sole status long, friendship remained and grew as a romantic relationship unfolded. We purposely made time to engage in fun, friendship kind of activities. We laughed a lot.
