Gratitude Leads to Hope

We recently celebrated Thanksgiving, turning our attention to those relationships, opportunities, gifts, and belongings for which we are thankful. The Apostle Paul once instructed us,

"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

1 Thessalonians 5:18

But have you ever paused and asked, “Why?”

Why does God want us to continually give thanks?

I mean, yes, it is a way of honoring God. But is God so insecure that He needs our expressions of gratitude? Of course not!

So, if God doesn’t need our expressions of gratitude why are they so important?
