Great Sex!

Sex, and how to have better sex is often the topic of conversation in marital counseling. In graduate school, I learned not to blush or back away from the conversation, and these days, I’ll sometimes go there intentionally with a couple if I perceive their hesitation.

None of these facts are surprising. To work effectively with couples requires the trust that puts subjects (sometimes deemed off limits) on the table. And couples are often more apprehensive about discussing their sex life than even they expected. It’s personal, and it should be. It’s private, but not secret. We can (and should) bring and keep both respect and boundaries on the table with this topic.

But here’s a truth worth keeping:

Sex was God’s idea, and it was created to be a very great part of your Great Marriage.

Thankfully, there are many gifted, Christ followers who have written on the subject.
