Keeping Score
Within the daily routine of marriage, it can be tempting to keep score. In truth, it’s sometimes easier than most people would like to admit. Keeping score can be a silent, mental endeavor or the topic of conversation, either way it’s not typically productive relationship behavior. Here are some examples:
· I make the bed more often than you.
· I bought groceries last time.
· I fed the dog last night.
· I have cleaned the kitchen every night this week.
· It’s not my turn.
· It’s always my responsibility.
