This is a great time of year to spend time in Scripture. Your marriage (and home atmosphere) will be shaped by the truth of God’s Word. Reading the words aloud is both a beautiful sound and a beautiful marriage moment. In the area of spiritual leadership, it’s a great way to begin leading wisely. If you are new to reading Scripture aloud or uncomfortable with the process, the Christmas story is a great place to begin (Read Luke 1 and 2).

First, it’s likely familiar, and familiarity of the Christmas story lends to a personal warmth and genuineness when reading or listening.
