So often in marriage, time is the variable that interferes the most with romance. Perhaps, because regardless of the uniqueness of your life, everyone and every marriage gets twenty-four hours of time each day. Life is busy. Between work, sleep, chores, parenting, friends, church, personal commitments, and community activities most people tell us that they simply have no time or little time to invest in romance. And guess what? We get it. We understand.

However, we also understand that romance is vital to marriage. It’s like the wonderful seasoning that gives your relationship flavor, spice, and heat. You don’t want to skip it, and you certainly don’t want to lose it.

Therefore, we encourage you to both find and make the time to demonstrate romance within your marriage. Be intentional. In truth, being intentional about finding and using the smallest blocks of the time you find each day is one of the characteristics of a great marriage.

We’ll certainly applaud the big gestures and the larger amounts of time, but we believe that you can get a lot accomplished in the way of connection with consistent, sustainable small amounts of time.
