Pickled in the Right Brine
I attended a writing workshop/retreat and listened intently as the speaker discussed this concept: “What we lay in at night saturates us.” It was a good (and applicable) message about how we should be both aware and intentional about capturing the nighttime thoughts.
When I considered “saturating”, I immediately thought of marinating, pickling, and preserving. The application to my thoughts and feelings was easily found. I scribbled this sentence in my writing journal: What am I marinating in?
