Self-Care; Let's Talk
Self-Care; Let’s Talk
It’s that wonderful time of the year when the tree and trimmings are being packed away, Christmas treats are nearly eaten; the busy schedule is slowing; and the normal rhythm is returning. As beautiful as your Christmas season was (and we hope it was truly beautiful), in the wake of Christmas, the New Year’s ideas, dreams, and resolutions surface. Among those can be an increased sense of a need for self-care.
In Great Marriage, self-care is vital and serves a fundamental role in both preparing and equipping us for healthy relationships with both others and ourselves.
The concept of self-care is tossed around frequently, but implementing self-care is often a different story. Obstacles abound. Good intentions fall short. And the best practices can wane without encouragement, planning, and specified goals.
In Great Marriage, if you are thinking about implementing and sustaining self-care, then kudos. We want to encourage you. This post is Part One of helping you get started and/or staying the course.
