Recently, in the Five Stones office, John and I were discussing the writings in Great Marriage. Brainstorming together sharpens our ideas and creativity. We also strive to produce relevant, applicable material.
I commented that one of my newer Great Marriage entries was straightforward, direct, and possibly simple. In marital counseling, it could be in a category of marital common sense. As a Christian, it would most definitely be considered normal behavior. Afterall, the content was based on the teachings of Christ. In other words, I wrote about doing what Scripture teaches us to do.
Truthfully, many of the Great Marriage writings match this format. Within our ministry, we often tell people that our greatest counsel is to Live Scripture.
So why are the basics of Great Marriage so hard to follow?
Why do couples struggle to put the basic concepts or ideas into practice?
When it comes to marriage, why don’t we simply live Scripture?
