The Long, Exasperated Sigh. A leader’s sigh is heavy. In communication, it falls hard and casts a long shadow. Its width can not only hit several people but also last for a longer measure of time. In relationship, it is powerful enough to erase the last hour or disrupt the course of the day. It can quieten the voice of loved ones; it can plant seeds of discouragement and anger. It can make people feel small.
